The interplay of bronze finished in a wood-like patina, combined with brushed stainless steel, creates a balance of tradition and modernity in Alexander's first mixed-metal sculpture. Instead of relying on external welds with visible seams between the two metals, Alexander reverse engineered WEATHER ROCK so that the separate shapes keyed together internally. This innovative approach contributes to the seamless unity of the different materials, adding overall depth to the composition.
